FINAL THOUGHTS - by Larry Muzzy (former President) - May 2005

I am proud of our current Lakeridge Homeowners’ Association Board Members.  In the two-years that we have been your representatives, we have taken this community to new heights.  You will notice a “Lakeridge Sub-Division” street sign at the Maple Seed entrance at NorthshoreNew flowers and appearance to the entrance at Waterview Trail.  Outstanding community get-togethers including the Fall Festival for any resident where over 350 each year have attended and the Annual Spring Picnic for our HOA members.  A near monthly hand-distributed newsletters/flyers and a creation of an instant notification system called The Email Tree.  Our biggest success was our community website.  Since its conception in September of 2004, it receives on average of 15,000 hits per month.  Its marketing power for our neighborhood is amazing with the HOMES FOR SALE page being the Third most popular page to visit.  This site also has kept our residents and potential residents informed of our Bylaws and Covenants that many were never aware of

Two years prior, I posted in one of the community newsletters that the Homeowners’ Association wanted to make a difference.  From just a community that before only offered a phonebook and the Members only Spring Picnic for your yearly dues, to one that got the community involved in its desire to make us a neighborhood.  I know we did that.

I want to take this opportunity to personally thank a few special member of our Lakeridge Homeowners’ Association Board.  Pat Fields who not only offered her countless hours in keeping the books but for her support for this neighborhood and me.  She and her husband Jim were a rock of support and this neighborhood owes them a HUGE . . . thanks!  Margaret Lyday who made me look so good by spending not only her own time but also her creative passion for making every social occasion an event.  The Fall Festival spectacular is her doing and the neighborhood cannot thank her enough.  She made events like the community garage sales an opportunity to do some good by setting up ways for us to donate to worthy causes and even got the kids involved in choosing Holiday decorations winner then treating them to hot-chocolate and cookies.  Thank you Margaret.  To Jill Mix who worked hand-in-hand with Margaret and when asked to help in any project always say YES.  No questions asked . . . always yes.  Her support and vast hours of service . . . Jill, thank you so much.  Laura Abbott and Joanna Partain who with their infinite hours were responsible for our front entrance.  But, they also showed their support in nearly every community event that we held.  You both are special people and I appreciate your extra efforts, thanks!  There are others that supported our Board that I too cannot thank enough.  One being my family who took the phone calls at all hours to giving up their home for Board meetings and other community meetings.  I thank you.

Members of our neighborhood . . . thank you for your support.  I appreciate the countless grateful emails and your words of encouragement at neighborhood events.  I never took this position of representing this neighborhood lightly.  You entrusted me with this responsibility and hopefully I did you proud.

Sincerely,

-Larry Muzzy
